D E C E M B E R 2 0 0 6 2006/12/03 DANS LA VIE CACHÉE DES AUTRES T-ah! C'est un secret! :P 2006/12/08 MAKING AN AD With classes already over for three days, I had some time in my hands to study, but I noticed and felt that my barber wasn't doing well in getting some of his old and potentially new customers to where he works now, so I decided to draw a map for him in hope to attract more customers for him. I kind of like the picture, which I drew. It is very clever and nice if I do say so myself. :P 2006/12/10 LUCKY!!! I lost my STM card, but I was so sure that I still had it because I knew that I used it this past Friday to get on the bus. I am not sure if I had lost it in Chinatown or this morning when I was taking out my wallet. I was a bit worried because I don't want to get caught and have a fine. At the end, it was at Angrignon station. Someone picked it up and gave it to the guy in the booth. When I asked the guy to have it, he made this weird face like he doesn't seem to have a clue with what I am saying, but I am quite sure that I expressed myself properly. Anyway, I was glad to recover my card, and I was really in no mood to spend another eight bucks to get another one. 2006/12/11 TAKE IT & LEAVE ME ALONE There was this black guy who asked me 50¢ because he needed to print something... I had no change, so I gave him a buck, but why do I feel so cheated? 2006/12/12 MY FIRST AD My barber hung my picture today (you can go see it :P). He has so much charm to convince, persuade, the janitor, and I'm impressed with his Italian charm! My God, there's a worm in the toilet! 2006/12/13 I HATE THIS WHEN IT HAPPENS I was sleeping peacefully in my bed, and as I was about to stretch a little, *BANG!* My muscle hardened up, and it was so painful! My calves! :P 2006/12/14 C'EST CORRECT My barber offered me some food, as a thank you gift maybe, but I couldn't accept itm or maybe he wanted me to help his son with his MATH 436. He wanted me to go to his place and tutor his son, but I told him to tell him to some see me. It would be much easier like that (well, for me! :P). J'ai rencontré quelqu'un qui me connaissait, mais je ne le reconnaissais pas! Pis, il ne me voulait pas me dire il est qui. J'hais tellement ça jouer aux devinettes! 2006/12/15 VARIOUS THINGS Stop Touching Me There was this Asian woman who asked me my 24 heures, and during the whole trip, she always kept kicking, touching my legs! ARGH! Back off, Desperado! Quelle belle analogie! 2006/12/16 I MADE HIS WEEK "Ju Jing, you have made my week thanks..." Awww... 2006/12/16 ISU GRAND PRIX FINAL 2006/2007 Sweet Sixteen
I'm glad that Yu-Na and Mao finished at the top. It's amazing what these two young girls can do, and I really hope that they will dominate this sport in the years to come. I will be definitely cheering both of them on, but I am more of a Yu-Na fan. :P Go Yu-Na! :)2006/12/18 ME? TIME'S PERSON OF THE YEAR? ![]() Time Magazine announced that the "Person of the Year" is: You, i.e. all Internet-based user-generated content! I guess that since I have this website, I sort of made a small contribution, so I'm the Person of the Year 2006! :P I wonder if I can add this in my curriculum vitae. 2006/12/19 IRONICALLY, THANKS FOR SMOKING The title seems a bit contradictory to my beliefs, mainly that smoking is very bad, but thanks to the smokers, the Olympic Stadium had finally been paid off now after 30 years with the taxed money from the purchased cigarettes. 2006/12/20 THE KANGAROO ROUTE I was talking to my barber, and he wanted to test my knowledge on "national capitals". Anyway, it turned out that we mainly talked about the cities of Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bangkok because he was confused about them. It is interesting to note that one of the many things in common with all three of these cities is that they are part of the "Kangaroo route". The "Kangaroo route" is basically a term, trademarked by Qantas, used to denote passenger airline flights between Europe and Australia. The name does not only refer to the kangaroo, because of its Australian origin, but it also relates to the fact that the journey was accomplished with at least two "hops" due to stopovers, alluding the kangaroo's means of locomotion. Because of the distance, these Asian cities play a key role in providing a rest stop for airplanes. I like airplanes... :P Anyway, I had a few chicken stomachs tonight, which was unusually crispy. My Mom told me that my grand-father always said to her that when you eat chicken stomachs, they will never get stuck between your teeth. Up to now, it is true. :P 2006/12/22 FAREWELL TV The cable guy came to our house and cut the cable!!! :'( Now, I have like nothing to watch on TV! :'( Anyway, I saw a big skunk tonight on the way to get some stuff with my Dad, and I was surpised to see it. I mean, aren't they supposed to be hibernating by now? It's still raining though, and it is very warm for winter, but they still should at least stay inside in their hut and sleep. :P 2006/12/23 I MISS YOU CABLE I think that I am going to die. Well, from TV boredness. I just changed my channels on my TV and boy, do I have a lot to see! I must say that we had the basic cable, and we didn't have a lot to see either, but now, I really got nothing to watch! *sigh* :'( 2006/12/25 SNOWLESS CHRISTMAS Well, there is absolutely no snow on Christmas Day this year! This definitely ain't a white Christmas, but I got some nice gifts. :) Why of course, I was such a good boy this year. :) 2006/12/31 NEW YEAR EVE 2007 For once, I can't wait for this year to end because it had been a total bitch with me. I feel that the next year will be a much better one. I don't really feel any remorse leaving all of this to yesterday, but I am glad to have a fresh start, and hopefully, it will be a good one. Now, 2006, disperse into History so that one day, I may fly away... B A C K F O W A R D H O M E |
