M A Y 2 0 0 6 2006/05/02 BEING IN THE DARK I've been listening to the flows of the rippling water and the rustling wind today. These soothing sounds help me think. I fear that I haven't fully understood what is really happening in my life, but maybe I should just take a break from the "thinking" and just relax for a change... We had a power failure this evening surely because it was raining. I guess that this only happens in my area where minor things can cause power cuts. However, it did sort of bring the three of us at home together, despite the "high" tension between us. Oh well... It only lasted like about an hour. 2006/05/03 BUYING FOOD I never knew milk could be so heavy. The car is still "broken", and we needed some food, so I had to walk to the grocery stores to buy some stuff. I actually have to make two trips to two different stores to get enough supply that will last us until the car will work again. I don't mind walking for hours, but carrying the stuff back in the rain was a bit bothersome. 2006/05/04 PAIN IN THE... ... Arms J'ai mal au bras. Pas parce que je me suis touché longtemps, mais je pense que c'était à cause que j'ai transporté la bouffe hier. J'aurais dû m'étirer avant. :P ... Arse Ça se peut tu du monde aussi bête de même? La politesse au téléphone existe, tsé. :P Pis, elle ne nous a jamais rappelés en passant! 2006/05/05 UPDATES Finally, I got some time to work on this site... As usual, I have written the posts for the past weeks when I was absent, and all of it is based on my infallible memory. I love my memory. :) I will definitely have some time to work on this site since I am free now, but we will see. I am doing some "makeover" on certain sections of the site too, so they will remain close for the time being until upgrade. And, I like the Banner that I made with Paint. :) YouTube  I finally registered myself on this site yesterday. The idea of letting people upload their video clips so that others could view them online is quite ingenious. It's a pity though that we cannot download the files. 2006/05/07 SOCCER I Was Shot I had a very weird dream this morning where some guy in a grey van was calling me stupid, and I was all like, "Comment ça j'suis con? J'suis en médecine," which I said back to him. The driver, in rage, took out his gun and shot me! I think that I died. Dear Lord... :S Soccer J'ai été jouer au soccer avec mon groupe BI cet après-midi. Ça faisait longtemps que j'ai fait du sport. Je pense que je suis un peu rouillé avec ma position de «défenseur», je n'ai pas pu montrer pourquoi on m'appelait «La Muraille de Chine». :( BBQ chez MP Je me suis pris en charge de faire cuire la bouffe sous la supervision de Carlos. Je pense que j'ai fait une bonne job. Tout était bien cuit et c'était bon, mais je ne peux pas prendre tout le crédit, car c'était un travail d'équipe... Ça sonne trop comme un projet du BI, ça. :P Je me demande comment tout le monde disait qu'ils étaient pleins en ne mangeant que genre deux hambourgeois ou hotdogs, pis moi, je pourrais encore en manger d'autres. Mais bon, peut-être que je suis gros. :P Le lycanthrope Après le souper, on a joué à un jeu avec des loups-garous qui tuaient du monde d'un village où vivaient aussi une petite fille, des voyeurs (et donc des exhibitionnistes aussi), un chasseur, une sorcière, etc... En jouant un loup-garou, j'ai découvert que j'étais un bon comédien qui a beaucoup de crédibilité. :) Je me demande toujours comment ça se pouvait qu'il y ait des loups-garous à chaque nuit? Il me semble que c'est impossible que la pleine lune soit là à chaque nuit, tsé. :P It's Alive! Mais, j'aime bien cette douleur parce que ça me fait sentir que j'ai fait quelque chose en bougeant mon corps. :P Food! Thanks to Cynthia, I can now use the car to go buy some food to fill the fridge up. I was careful not to buy too much thing by selecting items that are only on special. I was surprised that it turned out to be quite expensive to my liking. I didn't know that food can cost so much, but I guess that it's at a normal price. I should be less stingy. :P Alanna, OUCH! Je suis surpris que j'étais capable de télécharger rapidement des tounes hier soir et c'était tout simple et clair. Je pourrai enfin trouver des chansons que je veux écouter depuis des années. :) Sugar Daddy Oui, il est beau et doux mon Sugar Daddy. ;) :P Il fait chaud dans ses bras et le soleil dans mes yeux, c'est à lui que je le dois. Je l'aime. :P 2006/05/11 OUTSIDE CHORES I mowed the lawn this afternoon, and it was terrible. The back garden, especially my brother's one, was covered in weeds and vines. It's not a garden anymore; it's more of a jungle if you ask me. I think that I really deserve a prize for being able to cut it down. :P I also got rid of some hives around my house. I hope that what I had killed was the Queen, so those big nasty wasps won't come rebuild their nests again. Talking about big insects, my house is also crawling with carpenter ants, and they are so huge! It gives me the creeps when I kill them; it's like squeezing very small grapes. Ugh, insects... *shudder* Sure, they are very fascinating and interesting to look at, but when they are around me, it's just another story... 2006/05/12 ON SORT En m'en allant au métro pour rencontre mon groupe maisonneuvien, j'ai remarqué que les feuilles étaient toutes sorties; le parc était tout vert. :) Au resto coréen What a shocking twist that I didn't even see coming when we arrived at the restaurant. Anyway, it's the first time that I ever had some Korean food, and it was good, but the quantity wasn't enough to fill me up. I was still hungry after we had left. I'm just fat. :P Dairy Queen We wanted to walk all the way to Guy-Condordia to have some dessert, but fortunately we came across a Dairy Queen. I ordered a Pecan Praline Parfait since it was on special (4,56$, which comes up to 5,25$ with tax). It tasted good at first, but the caramel was just too much. It was so sweet at the end because the ratio of ice-cream and caramel was terribly awful at the bottom of the cup. I had a sugar overdose... It is with a big surprise to me to see a couple of DQ posters filled with faults, such as "cémeux" instead of "crémeux" and "höpitaux" instead of "hôpitaux". My God! Thanks to Sellig, I was able to have completed the census before the deadline, which is in fact today, and it appears that we can get fines if we choose not to do it: it's the Law! If it weren't for him, I would still be left in the dark. Fortunately, I can do this survey online, and it was surprisingly quick and easy to do too.Yup, I am couting myself in alright. C'est tout un petit monde. Raining I walked back home in the rain. It started to pour heavily when I was half way through the park, and it comfortingly felt good. Et, je me suis fait cruiser par un col bleu. :P Le même que le 8 mars dernier, si je m'en rappelle bien. :) 2006/05/17 JU JING IS LATE Dawson Mon réveil-matin a sonné à la bonne heure ce matin, mais l'heure là-dessus était une heure en retard et donc, j'étais en retard moi aussi. J'ai pris l'autobus pour me rendre à Dawson le plus vite possible et en cours de route, j'ai vu André avec qui j'aurais pu lui demander un lift. :P Enfin, j'y suis arrivé comme à cinq minutes en retard, mais Ornella a débarqué du métro en même temps que moi. Alors, je n'étais pas si en retard que ça finalement. :P J'étais donc avec elle pour l'aider à rédiger son texte en anglais, mais à la fin, je me suis ramassé à le faire tout seul alors qu'elle magasinait sur eBay. Mais bon, ca me faisait du bien à faire un travail de même comme celui j'ai que fait avant hier. C'était le fun pareil, on a pu se voir et se parler. Ça faisait longtemps. Ornella, tu me dois 1¢! :P André-Laurendeau Ayoye, j'étais encore en retard pour mon autre rendez-vous aujourd'hui et je suis rendu à mon cégep cinq minutes en retard aussi, mais Lauzon, lui, ne l'était pas... Désolé. :$ :P Je l'ai aidé à faire ses maths et on a comme genre fait juste un numéro d'optimisation, pis je pense que c'était tout. Je me sens mal honnêtement, car j'aurais aimé lui faire faire plus d'exercices pour qu'il soit vraiment prêt pour son examen de demain. Je lui ai donné un lift après, mais ça me faisait sentir vieux! Tsé, c'est comme, on se connaissait depuis qu'on était tout jeune et là, je me retrouve à lui donner un lift, ce qui est un geste de "vieux" pour moi, tsé. Cold Shower J'ai eu une douche particulièrement désagréable aujourd'hui parce qu'il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude. J'avais même tourné le robinet «H» à fond sans avoir touché le «C» et je gelais quand même! Ben, quoi? C'est tu parce que je ne me suis pas lavé pendant trois jours ou quoi? Je n'ai pas séché mes cheveux non plus et j'ai étrangement eu un mal de tête après. En plus, j'avais vu un reportage hier sur des alpinistes qui grimpaient le mont Everest et leur cerveau gonflait à cause d'un manque d'oxygène et du froid. Moi, qui pensais que l'eau dans mes cheveux a refroidi ma tête, croyais que ça a fait ça. C'est sûr que ce n'était pas à cause de ça, mais c'était bizarre pareil et j'avais mal. :P En y pensant, mes deux rencontres aujourd'hui ont plusieurs choses en commun, dont le fait qu'ils ont dit à voix haute quelque chose qu'ils n'étaient pas supposés de dire, hein? *sigh* :P 2006/05/18 AWWW... After eight wonderful years, NBC aired tonight the last episode of Will & Grace. The touching finale brought many laughter and tears, ending the series with grace.I cannot believe that it is already finished. I wish that there could be more episodes to come, but all good things must end. I met up with Lisa after her class today, just to see how she was doing. I accompanied her all the way to her bus stop under Le 1000 De La Gauchetière. I would have loved to stay and chat with her, but I had to walk to Peel Metro Station to meet Jo Blo. I had a great time with him. We went to have some drinks at a Starbucks and took a leisurely stroll downtown, while taking a few risks from time to time... ;) The good people at The Weather Network have provided the wonderful data on the weather, mostly for the rain part. 2006/05/25 YOU MAKE ME PROUD 
Taylor Hicks is the American Idol!!! :D When I first saw him at his audition, I had a hunch that we will win. I like his hair (and his voice). :PI also cannot believe the fact that there are like 63.4 million votes for the American Idol, which is in fact more votes than any presidential election. :S Crazy, huh? Well, there's the American people's priority. :P 2006/05/26 IDOL CRAZE I was curious to see how the Malaysian version of the show is doing. I remember that it has just started during my last trip to Malaysia, and I really loved its funny commercial ads. Anyway, I was able to find some video clips on YouTube, and I like Jaclyn Victor's "Gemilang". No wonder she won. :) 2006/05/27 AU BOWLING J'ai été voir Martin et Julie aujourd'hui et ça fait à peu près un an qu'on ne s'est pas vu (depuis le 4 aôut en fait). Moi, j'étais bien chez eux, ça a beaucoup changé et c'est rendu tout beau. Ils me font jaloux, j'aimerais bien ça aussi avoir un Mario. :P Nous sommes ensuite allés à Mascouche pour aller jouer aux quilles à un Quilles "G" Plus. Il y avait une collecte de fonds organisée par des élèves de la classe de Martin pour l'Opération Enfant Soleil. C'était pourquoi ça m'a coûté 15$ pour jouer et un autre 1,75$ pour me louer des souliers. C'est de la crosse! :P C'était aussi la première fois que j'ai été à Mascouche et je suis surpris qu'il n'y a quasiment pas d'immigrants là-bas. Dans la salle, j'étais le seul et le monde me regardait comme si c'était la première fois qu'ils ont vu quelqu'un avec des yeux bridés. Au courant de la soirée, il y avait des tirages et je me demande pourquoi je n'ai pas gagné. C'est parce que je suis asiatique! :P Racistes! :P En tout cas, je me suis amusé pareil. En vigueur de la loi 112, il est désormais interdit de fumer dans la plupart des lieux publics au Québec. Cela inclue les bars, les restaurants et même les salles de bingo. Je crois fermement que cette mesure, à la fois sévère et stricte, est une très bonne idée pour lutter contre l'usage du tabac.En effet, fumer des cigarettes est néfaste pour la santé et demeure la cause principale du cancer des poumons, mais qu'est-ce qu'il y a de spécial dans le tabac? La nicotine. La nicotine est l'un des composants du tabac et exerce plusieurs effets sur l'homme. Entre autres, elle paralyse les cils de la trachée. Ainsi, ils ne sont plus capables de faire remonter le mucus produit par les poumons afin d'éliminer la poussière, les microbes, etc... C'est pourquoi les fumeurs toussent beaucoup pour en expulser. À petite dose, la nicotine a un effet stimulant. Elle peut améliorer la mémoire et la conscience. Elle augmente même la fréquence cardiaque et la pression artérielle, ce qui suscite une libération d'adrénaline et réduit, en revanche, l'appétit. À forte dose, les effets ne deviennent plus stimulants. Les personnes qui en consomment peuvent vomir et avoir des nausées. En fait, la dose létale pour l'homme est en moyenne de 65mg/kg et le fait de trop en consommer induit la mort par un arrêt pulmonaire. L'humour est également affecté, mais cela dépend sur l'environnement dans lequel le fumeur se trouve et surtout sur comment est son état d'âme. Cet alcaloïde a souvent un effet qui calme les fumeurs, les rendant bien relaxés. Donc, c'est quand même bien de décourager les gens à fumer.
