S E P T E M B E R 2 0 0 5 2005/09/01 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL Despite the rushing walk from Burnside to McIntyre under 10 minutes, my first day was great, but I need to change some courses because I did the IB (Maudit BI! :P). I feel sort of weird. I wanted to do some homework or study something, but there is absolutely nothing to do tonight. Mon BY, tu es vraiment fin et tu me manques aussi... 2005/09/02 SECOND DAY OF SCHOOL AYA! How embarrassing! I went into the wrong class and thus, was late for my other one (where I was supposed to be). The worst part of it was that the professor in that class was actually telling us that there are always some students who go to the wrong class, and I was saying to myself that they had to be stupid to do something like that... Yah... :P I'm so motivated to work hard, but there is still nothing to do... Prof. P. W. Wiseman, I don't know who you are, but "Good Morning!" :)
Oh yeah, I was surfing on the Internet and discovered that my site can be found on Yahoo!!My website can be found on a search engine? Wow! I wonder if I can find it via Google too... Well, not yet... Oh! My new school agenda is bent! Nooo! :( 2005/09/05 HAPPY LABOUR DAY! Labour Day is always fun because it gives us a day off. I wonder why school doesn't start after this holiday. Ce serait beaucoup mieux de même, non? 2005/09/06 THIRD DAY OF SCHOOL
On my way back home, something in my head told me to get off at Jolicoeur to take the 112 instead of walking home from Angrignon, so I was torn between this sudden feeling and my conscience. I was debating whether to get off now or not*, but I finally decided to stay in the metro. As it was leaving Jolicoeur, I saw Jonathan heading towards the stairs. :@It was also my third time that I was on the red metro. :P 2005/09/08 A RAINY DAY I should had listened to my Mom and brought my umbrella. In the morning, it did not look like it was going to rain, so I went to school "unprotected" (that doesn't sound right :P). I wanted to deal with some of my registration problems, but there was no answer from that lady. Why can't she answer the phone?!? Since I had some free time before my class, I walked around downtown, met Anas on the way, walked underground, trying to avoid getting wet, but I had no choice to wonder in the rain from Strathcona to McIntyre to get to my class. On my way back, it was still pouring. I was drenched, but I like strolling in the rain, and I must say that I do look hot when I am wet. :P 2005/09/09 WHAT A DAY! À cause d'une incendie Today started off like the usual routine, but after bringing my little sister to school, Grandpa Fred offered me a lift to the metro since it was on his way.
I took the metro around 8:00 AM, everything seemed to be fine when suddenly, the metro's lights went off. I waited in there reading the 24 heures, and the driver told us that we must evacuate the metro and so, I did. Then, the guy in the booth told everyone to immediately get out of the building, so I guess that it was very serious.People started running out of the metro station as if it was a matter of life or death, some were worried, and others had absolutely no clue what was going on. I overheard a few people saying they smelled smoke, but there was like really nothing going wrong. Anyway, I did not waste any time to get out of there, so I quickly walked away. There were about six firetrucks that went by while I was sort of running, and their blaring sirens filled the air. Fortunately, my Mom was able to give me a lift to Verdun metro station, and I took the 107 downtown for the first time. A Couple of Familiar Faces During my break, I met my old High School English teacher Joe. I was really glad to see him, and it is a pity that he is retired now because he was a good teacher. I would have liked to talk to him longer, but I was in the middle of the road, so I had to leave since I didn't want to get by a car, you know? :P I then found myself waiting in McGill metro station, and I saw Burnie on one of those Metrovision screens in an ad for Sortir l'été, a TV show on Radio-Canada (ça joue les vendredis soirs à 19h30). He was waiting in line and entering some familiar building... I finally got to solve my problem with that registration stuff after my classes. It did not work at home but strangely did over there. Oh well, at least the lady at Dawson Hall was very nice (seriously!). Hmmm, it sounds like we had a date, but some girls were with us.
:P La citation du film BRUCE: You haven't given up on me yet? ALFRED: Never. 2005/09/13 ONE HOT DAY Esti qu'y fait chaud!!! :P Pour ceux et celles qui osent me contredire, well, bring it on, and you better bring it. :P En tout cas, je retourne étudier. Que je suis sage. :P 2005/09/14 MY LAST DAY AS A TEENAGER All this time, I have wanted to be an adult, a grownup, and now, I finally find myself going to leave what I wanted to get rid of behind. It turns out to be that I do not wish to grow up anymore, and now, I yearn to be young again. I do not have any regrets though, but I fear to have missed the value of being a teen, but I will always be young at heart. Tu es gentil. :) 2005/09/15 BIRTHDAYS It's my birthday!!! I'm 20 years old now! Dear Lord, I'm getting old... I Ain't Here to Give a Donation, Okay? Because today is my day, (well, actually, not entirely because it's my sister's one as well...), I decided to treat myself to lunch. I went to eat some Shanghai Noodles (no choice) at the Tiki-Ming in the SSMU building. The meal was good, but that Asian lady always keeps on keeping my change. I mean, the dish costs 6,61$; I gave her a 10$ note, and I was expecting to receive 3,39$, but she only gave me 3,35$ back and kept my 4¢! I was like, "Say what?!?" She actually "short changed" me! I know that it isn't much, but it is wrong and illegal to do so! Stupid Chinese lady! Next time (if that is there will be a next time), I will just give her the exact amount: problem solved! Since I'm at it, i.e. Bitching It took me at least 30 minutes to print out all of my lecture notes today! That's right... 30 minutes! Arghhh! Whoever takes care of this printing service really sucks! Can't they get things right? I mean, from constant unfunctionnal printers to long delays in waiting for my papers to come out of the broken printers, j'en ai marre! And, why aren't our credits cumulative? I paid for them, so shouldn't they belong to me? After all, it is my money! Anyway :P, there was this loud airplane that flew over my house before yesterday night. I find it to be weird as it was not going in a direction where a plane would normally go, and it had white lights, but I think that I now know what it was: a fighter jet. I saw one of them landing when I was at IKEA this afternoon, and it roughly had the same sound. Hey, I took the red metro again. :) Merci! :D André, Awww... :$ C'est vraiment gentil! 2005/09/22 CAR FREE DAY This Week I sort of got caught up with my studies and homework assignments, and it has been awhile since my last post, so I have decided to put something here for you guys to read... :P I was quite glad to see some old faces this week, especially my BNB (on Monday) and my JRP#12 (on Wednesday). *woof* :P Le métro rouge I don't know why, but I think that I am overly too obsessive about this red metro. Oh well, I always love to ride the metro... Yay! It's Friday! I have waited so long for this week-end to come, probably to catch up with my homework. I don't know why, I feel so tired... I'm going to catch some z's soon. "Bus"ted I took the 58 today, which is sort of unusual because I usually walk to go to the metro and to walk back home from there. The first bus I took looked like a school bus, and the other one had a different type of chairs: instead of the usual plastic cover, it was rather a furry cushion-type thing, which was weird. It may feel uncomfortable at first, but at least you won't slide on the seat that easily anymore because the fur provides much more friction. :P 2005/09/29 ONE WINDY DAY Wow, talk about wind power! Fortunately, I did not bring my umbrella; otherwise, it would flip around, or I would be flying like Mary Poppins. My sister's school had their fire drill today, and what a perfect day to do it! Picture this: my sister (and the other children) outside in the rain because of a fire drill. Can't they at least change the date or do something else about it? Bravo Saint-Geneviève! Ne lâche pas. Maybe I should respect the principal a little bit more. The latter actually wore the tie we gave him. :| Non, on n'est pas des téteux! Yesterday, it was this "Tech Fair"-thing at my school, and I got some free stuff even though I'm not a Engineering student. MERTW? No, not really... :P 2005/09/30 LAST DAY OF THE MONTH Finally, there is a small update on my site... I had been busy over the week with school, but since it is Friday, I decided to do something else for a change.
There is a new building, which inaugurated today at McGill: the Schulich School of Music. It is named after Businessman Seymour Schulich, the benefactor. Yé cute, non? :PDid you notice that all of the titles of each post of this month had the word "DAY" in it? I sort of wanted to see if a few people will notice some subtle general patterns like this one... :P Next time, just keep an eye out for things like this. ;) Anyway, I can now think of some new original titles now... :P B A C K F O W A R D H O M E |
