A Very Brief Introduction
Greetings! My name is Ju Jing Tan, and this is my very own personal Web site.
Some time ago, my eldest brother bought me this domain name, so I had decided to put it into good use. I am mainly doing this to pass the time, but I hope to provide something unique to the Internet and to stand out by approaching things differently, that is, doing it my way. :P I intend to write random things and thoughts here, to openly express what is on my mind although I am such a reserved man. :P
However, there will be unfortunately nothing really juicy about my personal life. Sorry. :P Besides, I think that there are not a lot of people who are aware of the existence of this so-called blog, so I may perhaps blurt a thing or two out on occasion. :P
As it is sometimes difficult to keep in touch with my friends, I have created this place for them too so that they may get my latest news. Because I am somewhat lazy at times to repeat the same story over and over again, I simply refer them here to let them know what is going on.
This Web site will also be used as some sort of a memento. I want to remember how I lived my life and became who I am. I will surely cry and laugh when I will look back at all of what have happened to me, but I hope to understand the reasons why things occured and see how it all played out, you know? And, please do not feel sad if I do not commemorate you here as I forever keep my fondest memories in my heart. :P
I guess that I want to leave my footsteps and marks on this World to show that I was here. My life may be negligible in the vastness of the Universe, but since small things can make a big difference, I share with you all my journey in hope that I can make a contribution. If not now, well, maybe the future will benefit from my stories and insights, so I leave them all in this time capsule; my Web site is so versatile! :P
To you, fellow stranger, I wish that you enjoyed reading me so far and that you were able to learn and understand something through my experience and views on life. If you find yourself here because you like me, well, I thank you, it is really flattering. :)
My mother tongue is English, and I grew up in a French-speaking city, so I am comfortable using both of these languages, which I decide upon depending on my mood. I enjoy picking up bits of various languages, and I may write in any one of them, but I will try to stick to English as much as possible. Mais souvent, j'écrirais en français pour pas que mes parents ne puissent comprendre de ce qui se passe dans ma vie. :P
I am quite renowned to use a lot of smilies while I chat online, and I love my smilies, so they will naturally come up here as well. I find them to be very practical because they can set a tone in my writing so that it will not appear monotonous, but I will try to refrain myself from putting too much. :P To even add an extra touch, I tend to describe an action to elicit a feeling, and I emhasize on certain key words. :P
I also try my best to not make any mistakes in my writing, but occasionally, I will write like how I talk only because it is funnier that way. :P I am rather quite simple, so reading me should be a breeze. :P
However, from time to time, I purposely hide certain information like within numerous acronyms and nicknames, so in that way, not many people can figure out what or who I am talking about, and deciphering them is no easy task. Do not waste your time by trying to understand everything because you just won't. :P

3) If you do not agree with something, which I had said, take it with a pinch of salt and laugh it off. :)
